A Long Wintour

(Exclusive.) The hunt is on for a new editor of American Vogue after Anna Wintour told staff on Thursday that, after nearly 40 years, she would be stepping aside as its Editor in Chief, but remaining as Vogue’s Global Editorial Director.

We hear the move has been in the works for some time, and will allow Wintour, 74, more time to oversee Condé’s portfolio of magazines, as Chief Content Officer (the only publication Wintour does not oversee is the New Yorker, which remains David Remnick’s fiefdom).
