But on Tuesday night at 1600 Penn, there was one media organization he was happy to break bread with. 

Breaker has learned Trump had dinner in the residence with News Corp owner Rupert Murdoch, News Corp CEO Robert Thomson, News UK CEO Rebekah Brooks, New York Post Editor-in-Chief Keith “Keefy” Poole, Wall Street Journal Editor-in-Chief Emma Tucker, Editorial Page Editor Paul Gigot, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. 

While gatherings between Trump and Murdoch’s top editors and columnists are not uncommon, this meeting had a more defined objective, resembling a “kumbaya conclave,” people familiar with the situation tell Breaker.
