The bigger issues behind the scandal at CJR

Ever since Ravi published a first person account about Sewell Chan last Friday we have been inundated with tips and questions. What did Chan actually do? Will you publish the recordings of Chan's interactions with his staff that were presented to the school? How did you go about writing and reporting the story? Are you just using Chan’s downfall to raise money for your new publication?

This week on the pod, which you can watch below, we met at Lume in the West Village, to answer those questions and  unpack Chan’s dismissal from the Columbia Journalism Review

Ten members of staff complained that Chan was, effectively, bullying them. Chan has countered that perfectly normal interactions were misinterpreted, and implied that Columbia is an over-sensitive environment.
